Roof Restoration Process.
After the initial consultation, thorough inspecting report and discussing the options with you, and if a roof restoration is the best & preferred course of action, then our Five Star Home Improvement of highly qualified tradesmen will carry out the following:
- If required, safety guard rails are installed as per Workplace Health & Safety guidelines & our duty of care to our tradesmen.
- Restore or replace broken roof tiles.
- Moss removal cleaning.
- Pressure clean the entire roof area from top to bottom using 3500psi water pressure
- Clean out all surrounding gutters and wash down all external walls and paths affected by roof grime and debris.
- Repair or replace as necessary any rusted valley irons
- Repair or replace as necessary any lead flashings or rotten damaged timber battens, also installation of quality
extras such as ventilation kits - Strip off all existing ridge capping tiles and gable end verge tiles and completely re-bed or re-bed where required as specified.
- Full Re-point all ridge capping and gables.
- Re-bedding as necessary
- Inspect repairs and air-blow clean the entire roof area in preparation for the coating system.
- Apply 1-2 coats application of a premium sealer appropriate & suitable for the tile type and age
- Apply 2 separate coats of our high quality pure acrylic roof tile premium coating in your chosen colour using our
spray system. - Final touch-up if required, paint all gables and flashings to avoid any over spray.
- Removal of safety guard rails if used.
- A final Clean-up of any residue and final removal of any materials due to the work preformed.
- A final inspection and happy customer after viewing the makeover transformation.
